World of ABW
CE45 (Cosmic Explosion)
On 06/27/2045, the cataclysmic event on constellation Carina caused colossal solar flares that weakened Earth's atmospheric pressure, evaporated oceans and transformed major continents into inhabitable deserts and wastelands. Communication
Basic: A common language adopted by all citizens on Earth. Gender Neutral Pronoun: Ze (He/She); zir (him/her); Zir (His/Her); zirs (his/hers); zirself (himself/herself). Holosphere/spheres: Information projected as a hologram displayed in two modes - swirling cone-shaped in 3D or on a flat surface in 2D. Personal comms: Communication devices embedded inside a human (usually on the right side) from ear to wrist capable of projecting holosphere. Infocast: Used by corporations to spread information about their upcoming events and advertise their products and services. Food/Drugs
Bio-meats: Delicacies made of composite proteins grown and preserved in controlled environment. Bourvilla combi: A cocktail with spicy hot and icy cold combinations made with the essences of flowers, but mainly from bougainvilleas. Colchicine poison: Poisons extracted from autumn crocuses. MBa - Moric (M) + Balsium (Ba): The drug given to all prisoners before the start of REM program. Verkies: Dried vegetable proteins. Habitats
Circular Habitats: Resilient housing capable of withstanding extreme daytime heat and nighttime frost especially built for the middle-class suburbs in the Arctic regions. Polestars: Massive dome-shaped shelters with controlled environment for all types of recreational activities. The largest polestar is over Arctic City - the Capital of the world. Spaceports: Underground terminals for Orbit to Surface (OTS) shuttles and Arctrains with connection to major cities in the Arctic and Antarctica. |
Universal Sentient Rights
The pledge to invest in mercy, love and kindness was signed on MLK Day. Vehicles
Arctrains: Surface trains levitating above lines of electromagnetic fields across deserts and flatlands while traveling at supersonic speeds. Based on capacity, carriages would detach and proceed to different locations. IUV (Intelligent Utility Vehicles): Vehicles connected to personal comms and capable of accessing the driver’s thoughts. Transporters: Small, medium or large vehicles use on Earth. Transit vehicles: Short distance vehicles traveling through clear tunnels attached to the exterior or interior of orbiting substations and factories on Earth and on the moon. ing workers back and forth from them from terminals, habitats and factories. Starships: Massive transporters use to search and relocate major population to another planet. Orbiting Substations: Stations orbiting planet Earth with large manufacturing facilities as well as terminals for transit vehicles, shuttles and starships. Orbit to Moon (OTM) Shuttles: Mainly shuttles for corporations and their employees from orbiting sub-stations to moon bases. Orbit to Surface (OTS) Shuttles: Shuttles for corporations and the public traveling to and from orbiting sub-stations to Earth spaceports. Seat-capsules: Pod-like clear capsules on (OTM) or (OTS) shuttles. Each capsule included one-seater, two or three seaters. The upright seats inside capsules would turn horizontal after boarding and hover to a clear, cubicle-like sections. Passengers could linger in an all-around clear windows lobby area but must return to their capsules before their shuttles land. Elevator Pods: Similar to seat-capsules, but with limited seating for only one to four passengers traveling inside clear tubes from terminals to work sites. Sports
RISZ (Race Inside Safe Zones): Speed racing inside protected boundaries. ROSZ (Race Outside Safe Zones): Speed racing outside protected boundaries. |
MLK Day
The annual celebration of August 28 where citizens gather and extend the spirit of mercy, love and kindness to all living beings throughout the world. Technology
Adhesion Release Safety (ARS): A safety seat belt using suction to hold or release someone from their vehicles or in med-chambers. UE officers use ARS to cuff accusers by activating the embedded comm on one wrist and latching it with the other wrist. Cydroids (Models K-11 to K-19): Sociable and human-like androids. Glamour Salons: Spas providing the basic needs of fashionable essentials from clothes, shoes, haircuts to color changes for skin, hair and eyes. GRACEN (Genetic Remapping of Analytical, Cerebral and Emotional Neurons): The programmer that assigned, deconstructed and replaced memories in REM program. H-AI (Home Artificial Intelligence): Stand-alone home security used by wealthy citizens and not linked to Unified Earth (UE) network. Med-chambers: Circular chambers half-filled with therapeutic liquid used in medical treatments, restorative healing and virtual reality simulations. Microbiolattice: A featherweight and flexible collapsible microstructure. Olganium: A blend of Helium-3, Spazine and Zenium - energy used by equipment, including cydroids. Oxy-Masks: Laser-thin masks worn over facial features that cleansed the air from the toxic atmosphere into breathable oxygen. Simulated Masks: Similar to oxy-masks but capable of disguising facial features. Planetary Shield: Synthetic shield above planet Earth as a protection against harsh radiation after the destruction of CE45. REM (Rehabilitation Enhancement Matrix): A rehab program used on prisoners to erase and replace their childhood memories and transformed them into socially adept individuals. Sleep Pods: Sleeping quarters at spaceports, arctrain terminals and orbiting substations. The CUBE: An object that cleaned and sanitized using cold steam and air dry or gel coating. |
